Introducing my “shop small” storefront!

This morning I’m really excited to share something I’ve been working on behind the scenes consulting with a company called Flagship. When I heard about what they were aiming to do in the small brand/influencer space, I know it would be right up my alley and YOUR alley as well! They’re a company that is helping make it easy for influencers and small brands to work together and grow their businesses.

As you know, companies like Liketoknow.it and Amazon are big in the influencer space because they make it easy to link our favorite items for our readers to shop in one place, and also allow influencers make a small commission (at no cost to you) for referring you to their favorite products. These tools are wonderful for both influencers and shoppers, BUT, they’re geared toward big retailers, so they’re not very accessible for a small business!

Additionally, the bigger retailers that are part of these platforms continue to lower their commissions for influencers, which directly affects OUR bottom line. (We are small, women-owned businesses, too!)

Flagship is a solution to both of those problems, by cutting out the middleman fees, they don’t charge brands to belong to their platform, and they ensure influencers are getting a higher cut than they would at big retailers. That means it’s a big win for both sides–again, at no cost to you all!

How do they do this? By essentially allowing influencers to create their own storefront (think like, an Amazon storefront!) but specifically for SMALL shops!

Meaning, I can highlight my favorite small shops all in one place, and you can buy items from any of them at once in ONE checkout!

Introducing my “shop small” storefront!

When they reached out to me a couple months ago, they were still in beta testing mode (and are still in the process of onboarding new small brands every day!) I’ve been consulting with them behind the scenes along with a few other influencers, which has been really cool!

Today, I’m excited to officially launch my own Flagship shopfeaturing products from three small women-owned businesses I love! (And I will be adding more very soon!)

As an added bonus, you also get 10% off ALL of them for a limited time by shopping through my shop today!

More cool things about shopping through my Flagship store:

  • You can shop all my favorite things and check out in ONE place–directly from my shop. So if you want to buy something from, say, all three of the stores below, you only have to check out once! (Similar to Amazon on how you’d add items from multiple sellers, and then check out all together!)
  • Best price is always guaranteed when you shop in my Flagship shop–if not, they will price match! (I’ll often have exclusive Flagship-only deals running at certain times as well, like the 10% off shopwide you see right now!)
  • Returns are FREE and managed by Flagship–they have a generous 30 day return policy (even if the brand you’re shopping doesn’t! However, if the brand has a longer return window than 30 days, they will honor that too!) More on their return policy here.

What you’ll find highlighted in my shop today:

Three women-owned brands I love!

Kibou fanny pack
shop Kibou fanny pack

Kibou: The best fanny pack diaper bag: on sale + an EXTRA 10% off in my shop!

You’ve likely heard me talk about my love for my Kibou before–it’s a fanny pack and diaper bag all in one. As someone who is a minimalist I like something that allows me to carry all the essentials but keep me hands free, too! I’ve used this since day one and still love it! Plus, I use it all the time even when I’m not with June! It makes the BEST baby shower gift. In fact, I purchased one for my friend for her shower and loved it so much, I bought myself one!

I also love that the brand was created by two moms who met at a toddler music class! They were sick of schlepping too much stuff around and wanted a diaper bag that was cute, functional, minimalistic, non-toxic, and the perfect size for their on-the-go lifestyle!

More about it:
  • Has a detachable fold-out changing pad (that you can fully remove when baby is out of diapers and replace with their “boo boo bag” first aid kit! So cool!)
  • Has a wet compartment for baby wipes so your wipes pack doesn’t take up extra space
  • Front pocket has slots for cards and a key hook for keys (or pacifiers) Also perfectly fits an iPhone with enough room for a lip gloss, too!
  • Main compartment is surprisingly roomy and fits multiple diapers, and is big enough for a full-sized bottle. (I could fit my 8oz Dr. Browns bottles in no problem) in addition to a small toy or two, and a burp rag.

Right now, they’re running a special bundle deal for the “Everyday carry bag bundle” and not only do you get THAT deal, but you get an extra 10% just for shopping via my Flagship storefront! So the bag + first aid kit comes to $79 instead of $110! This means you also get 10% off their brand new MINI bag, too–ideal for once your toddler has grown out of diapers! Rey to Z: Custom letter hats: 10% off in my shop!

You’ll recognize these hats from…everywhere in my life. 😂 Our friends gifted June her “J” denim hat and from then on, I was hooked on the brand! I own their adult initial hat in a few different colors linked here! I LOVE these hats–they are so practical to throw on each morning but make your outfit look cute and intentional. And I also love that it’s a small Chicago brand run by a fellow local mom! These hats also make a fantastic gift.

Ophelia and Indigo: 10% off in my shop!

A small, women-owned brand with the most beautiful, feminine designs!

This is the newest-to-me brand and I fell in love with their dresses the minute I saw them. I have only been test driving these for a couple weeks and each time I wear one, strangers stop me on the street and ask where they’re from!

I love that the brand was invented by two best friends during the pandemic. Each of their prints are completely unique to the brand and ethically and sustainably produced at their vetted factory in India. To remain as sustainable as possible, each of their designs is a limited run, so if you see something you like, snap it up before it’s gone!

Their clothes are designed to be breezy and super lightweight, insanely comfy so you’ll want to wear them around the house, but so beautiful you’ll want to wear them wherever you go! You can dress them up with accessories and a heel or dress them down with sneakers. As soon as I put them on for the first time, I knew YOU all would love them–have been itching for my shop to launch so I could share them with you!

More about the Sybil Geo dress above:

I couldn’t resist the colorful quilt-like pattern! I love the puff sleeve, the v-neck (that isn’t TOO deep–so I don’t have to worry about June pulling my top down 😂) and it’s so light. It’s unlined, but it isn’t see through–so it’s one you’ll reach for even on the hottest, stickiest days! Runs TTS, I have small.

If you love the design but want a different pattern, the Sybil also comes in a beautiful ditsy floral! OR, if you love the print, but want more coverage on top, you’ll probably love the Lara dress!

Ophelia and Indigo flora dress | shop small businesses
The Flora dress:

This next dress is one of their bestsellers, the Flora dress (worn here in the “exotic” print but also comes in a pretty blue pattern or pink). Again, it’s SO light and airy (but not see through) and it’s an ideal dress for summer. I love the pretty flutter sleeve detail and the square neckline. It looks great as-is, or you could easily add a belt for some waist definition, and a pair of heels to dress it up for a nice dinner. Whether you’re at home or on vacation, this is one you’ll want to wear EVERYWHERE. (I even wore this exact outfit to the coffee shop yesterday!)

Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing small.

You may also like: the Clemmie dress in the same print if you prefer a different silhouette!

Ophelia and Indigo cleo top
This Cleo top:

Last but not least, I chose this Cleo top, because many of you told me you were looking for a pretty blouse with sleeves that wasn’t cropped, that you didn’t have to front tuck, was nice enough to wear out to a date with some heels but casual enough to wear on a summer day with a pair of shorts. Oh, and that you could wear with a regular bra, too!

I am happy to report THIS IS IT! 🙌🏼 Same breezy factors and beautiful print as the dress above (with the added cute lined detail!) but with a beautiful subtle scalloped and embroidered hemline. If you aren’t a front-tuck girl, this is the perfect length for you. And if you are, it’s easy to front-tuck, too! (Although you would hide the pretty lace detailing!) Also worth noting, it’s not see through!

Sizing: TTS, wearing small.

You can shop more of my Ophelia & Indigo picks right here! The 10% off discount ends 6/15!

That’s all for now, I’ll be adding more favorite small shops to my storefront soon! As a reminder, I do make a commission from any items purchased through my shop at no cost to you. Thank you so much for your support of me and these wonderful small, women-owned brands! ♥️
