I thought the above photo was a fitting quarantine #mood ???? because while we’re on the topic of best quarantine buys, a Barefoot Dreams bathrobe (mine is from earlier this year and sold out so not totally identical but I linked similar! Same material though!) and Pirates Booty were absolutely two of mine.
Today’s post comes highly requested by YOU ALL! A few weeks ago, I asked you to share your favorite quarantine purchases that you brought you joy, made your life easier, and brightened your time spent at home. The responses flooded in and there were definitely strong themes and standout purchases — perfect for a Real Women Approved post- where we share the love on our tried and true favorite things!
There were some popular suggestions that I DIDN’T include on this list, which mostly consisted of “a new dog” (CONGRATS!), an excessive amount of wine, and a plethora of snacks, but everything else, you can pretty much find on this list. ????
Whether you’re looking to buy yourself a little joy present or are looking for holiday gift ideas, here’s a breakdown of GG readers’ favorite buys in quarantine — broken out by category:
The Best GG Reader Quarantine Buys
[ggheading style=”light” size=”1″ text=”Fitness”]
Peloton:
By far one of the most submitted items, you all are loving at-home bikes, specifically the Peloton, the Soul Cycle bike and Joroto!
P.Volve:
It sounds like a bunch of you guys jumped on the P.Volve quarantine wagon too! I talked about my experience with P.Volve and why I love the at-home workout in this post! I got this starter kit (but if you already have weights at home, you could go with this one!) It’s low impact, effective, and the equipment is so compact and easy to store! Use code JESSKEYS for a discount!
Fanny Pack:
A lot of you raved about how fanny packs have changed your outdoor walks and workouts — specifically this one from Lululemon and Dagne Dover!

Crackling Maple Syrup Candle
A Canadian reader turned me onto this candle, made in Quebec–it’s a maple scented candle with a wooden wick that crackles like a fire. It’s maybe the most random quarantine purchase yet but lighting it as I’m making my coffee (in my Barefoot dreams robe, obvi) is one of my favorite parts of the day. Get one for all your girlfriends! I started raving about it a couple weeks back and it’s become my #2 bestseller this month! ????
Aerogarden:
Many of you took the plunge into indoor herb gardening! (I almost bought one of these so many times!) Such a great way to grow your own fresh herbs, especially if you don’t have outdoor space or live in a place that doesn’t get adequate sunlight.
[ggheading style=”light” size=”1″ text=”Hobbies + Creativity”]
Greeting Cards:
A lot of you said you’ve been stocking up on greeting cards to send your friends and family snail mail! I love the lost art of sending (and receiving) surprise letters and “just because” cards. If you’re looking for cute cards, check out Greer Chicago and my friend Katie sells some ADORABLE quarantine themed cards in her Etsy shop!

The best buttery leggings!
A favorite before, during, and after quarantine, you guys are living in leggings. Many of course are fans of the Lululemon Align leggings (as am I). But the most recent dark horse is the Aerie dupe pair that I haven’t shut up about, and you agree– I’ve convinced many to jump on the bandwagon. ???? They feel EXACTLY the same as the Aligns–like you aren’t even wearing pants–and are $30! MAGIC.
House Dress:
I’m SO happy to hear that so many of you are still loving the house dress that I rave about! (I own this in several colors now!) If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I dive into my love for house dresses/mumus in this post! (They make some great colorways for fall, too!)
Aerie Seamless Bralette:
These bralettes are a huge GG reader fan favorite! They come in a bunch of colors, look insanely comfortable, and are on sale for less than $20 right now! (**Adding to cart along with another pair of the Aerie leggings as we speak**)
Lou & Grey and Vuori Joggers
If you haven’t upgraded your sweatpants, are you really living in 2020?! A lot of you said you’ve snagged these Lou & Grey sweats — they come in 7 beautiful colors! Another fan favorite was Vuori!
Biker Shorts:
Another quarantine fashion staple — the biker short! You guys especially love Alo (which I own in two colors!) and Beyond Yoga!
Barefoot Dreams Bathrobe:
The ultimate blanket-meets-robe, a lot of you, like myself, invested in the Barefoot Dreams bathrobe and have zero regrets- it comes in 8 dreamy neutral hues! I’m actually wearing mine as we speak and pulling it on is one of the highlights of my mornings. ????
Upgraded PJs:
Just like upgrading sweats, a lot of you have upped your PJ game too–Nordstrom’s Moonlight Pajamas (my personal favorite), Soma (I’ve had two pair of their PJ’s for YEARS and love them as well!) and Lake PJs were all popular suggestions of yours!
Ugg Slippers:
A lot of you said you snagged these Ugg slippers during the Nordstrom sale! These Amazon slippers look very similar and have rave reviews!

Instant Pot:
Many of you are glad you invested in an Instant Pot to make cooking cozy meals at home much easier!
Air fryer
I feel like I can’t look at any recipe on Pinterest these days without seeing the word AIR FRYER everywhere. Many of you said you invested in one and it’s been one of your highlights of quarantine! Brand favorites are all over the board but this Cuisinart combination air fryer/toaster is the one I’m considering investing in because I don’t have room for both a toaster and an air fryer on my counter!
Always Pan:
The best all-purpose pan. I’m so glad many of you are loving your Always Pan as much as I am! (Note: Mine was gifted as my friend recently started working on their influencer team!)
It’s non-toxic, non-stick, but still browns incredibly well! It comes with a spatula (and has a built in spatula rest), a steamer basket, and is perfect for frying, but the sides are tall enough for braising and boiling rice, quinoa, ramen–whatever. Plus, it looks gorgeous on your stove! I’ve barely touched another pan since getting this! I know this is bold, but it might top the list as my #1 favorite new item of the year. ???? Use JESSKEYS for $10 off!
Kitchen Organization:
Several of you said your favorite purchases were kitchen organization pieces, like plastic bins to organize your fried and lazy Susans to house your spices. A stocked, organized fridge is always a beautiful sight! This organizing set seems like a great deal!
Yeti Mug:
You guys love this Yeti mug as much as me! I love my rambler mug because I can drink coffee in it, and also drink water, cocktails, la croix, whatever out of it–and things stay hot or cold! It’s all you need!
[ggheading style=”light” size=”1″ text=”Skincare and Selfcare”]
Spotify Premium:
A work-from-home necessity, a lot of you upgraded to Spotify premium this year! (As did we, we kept fighting over the account and upgraded to the “family” plan!) ????
NY Times Cooking App:
A great way to stay inspired in the kitchen, the NY Times Cooking app that a lot of you joined this year! We also subscribed to the New York Times physical paper too and reading the morning paper has become a ritual I look forward to on Sunday morning!
[ggheading style=”light” size=”1″ text=”Subscriptions”]
AirPods:
I just bought these this morning (they’re $50 off for Prime Day!) I upgraded to the newest Air Pod model mostly for the noise-cancelling factor. (YAY coworking with your husband!) Perfect for WFH, co-existing with roommates-turned-co-workers, and for working out! (I also think these stay in your ears much better–Neal has this pair and I’ve been waiting to upgrade!)
Blue Light Glasses:
Another WFH essential, blue light glasses! I have this gold pair and this tortoise pair on Amazon (they’re $20 each!) and I love both! The brand is called Sojos and they are a women-owned brand!
